Services for the Community

 

Community Services 

Recreation, spiritual life services, emergency services, participation in projects that benefit the local neighborhood such as Paint the Town and Senior Citizens Clean-up or local parades and festivals. Recreation amenities include swimming pools, weight training rooms, running tracks, basketball and racquetball courts, football fields, etc.  Community Services are targeted to residents of the neighborhoods where our facilities are located and to current and past clients of our programs. 

 Emergency Services 

ü      Clothing assistance

ü      Prepared meals at our 3535 Third Street Mission facility

ü      Emergency shelter

ü      Food and household furnishings from available donated supplies 

 Facility Rental and Retreat Services

ü      Tabernacle Activity Building: Churches and community service groups can rent the Activity Room for showers, meetings, or services. 

ü      The Wildwood Ranch in Howell, Michigan: Churches and community service groups can rent portions of the Wildwood Ranch for retreat and meeting purposes. 

ü      The Oasis gymnasium or pool for community sports activities.

ü      Highland Park Recreation Center offer outdoor ball fields and track or field for community-based sports programs.

ü      Office space is available for lease at 211 Glendale, Highland Park, Michigan.  This building, owned by Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, houses service programs serving the Highland Park community.

 

Services for Veterans

Veterans Independence Program. A Transitional Housing Program for homeless veterans.
