Jennifer’s
Testimony
I've been using drugs since I was sixteen. I
always wanted to fit in with people my age. I
used to think my mother didn't want me to have
any friends because I couldn't do like the other
girls. Now, I'm glad my mother was
overprotective; she cared about me.
I was incarcerated for six months, convicted of
possession of marijuana, cocaine and running a
drug house. My kids were taken from me for
neglect. After my release from jail, I went back
to using drugs. I violated my probation. Afraid,
I ran away. Later, after I turned myself in, it
was recommended that I do ninety days inpatient
treatment.
I came into this program thinking I was the only
one with problems. I found out I am not alone.
This program has allowed me to find myself, to
know that my life matters. I know now that God
has a purpose for me and that is to live and to
be the mother that He knows I can be. I also
know I don't have to use drugs to have friends.
I believe and trust in God. I believe what I
pray for and ask for shall be mine. I believe
and know I'm gonna make it!
