Other Services

Education Services: Provided to Transitional Housing and Substance Abuse Treatment program residents and Ministries’ staff.  Programs include “Get your GED”, Job Readiness Skills, Computer Skills, ongoing Certified Addictions Counseling and training on topics relevant to the services DRMM provides.

In addition, DRMM accepts student interns from Wayne State University, Wayne County Community College, the University of Detroit Mercy, and Marygrove College.

Employment Services: Include vocational assessments of all transitional housing and substance abuse treatment residents, referral to needed Educational Services, the New Beginnings program, and referral to employment assistance programs for all DRMM residents.  The New Beginnings program provides up to six months of housing, on-the-job training and continued sobriety support to treatment program graduates who enroll in DRMM’s transitional housing program.  Through an interagency agreement, DRMM is able to secure comprehensive employment services for eligible clients from Michigan Rehabilitation Services or Goodwill Industries of Detroit.
